The Kennewick Branch of the Mid-Columbia Library System is a member of the Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center (http://foundationcenter.org). As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, the Kennewick Branch provides visitors with free public access to grant maker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center’s electronic database, The Foundation Directory Online. The fully searchable database includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation’s top funders.

As part of the promotion by the office of the Washington State Secretary of State to encourage people, especially young people, to vote this fall, Kennewick Library staff stand in front of the library with a sign “I Will Vote.” The Kennewick Branch has voter registration materials and a wide variety of materials dealing with politics and government.
